Sutter Health Credentialing Coordinator III in Oakland, California

Position Overview:
The Credentials Coordinator III works cooperatively to ensure the seamless and timely flow of credentialing related information to meet appointment and reappointment deadlines. Participates in effective day-to-day operations of the credentialing functions and provide recommendations to enhance productivity to meet targeted service levels, turnaround times, and satisfaction/quality levels. Maintains database of current and accurate information concerning licensure, board certification, professional liability coverage and claims for physicians, contracted providers and Allied Health Professionals.
**This position is onsite full-time.
Job Description :
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) plus years of experience in credentialing/privileging or health-related field and use of medical terminology; or equivalent experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of medical provider credentialing and accreditation principles, processes, procedures, and documentation.
Knowledge of computer spreadsheets and other related applications.
Excellent communication skills, organizational and computer skills, sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
PC skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access) and proficiency regarding data entry skills.
Organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines.
Proficient with standard computer and software programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel).
Strong knowledge of Epic, ECHO and other systems used in the hospital setting is preferred.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw inferences from research findings, and prepare reports.
Able to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
Ability to analyze data/reports and to make recommendations

Pay Range is $32.48 to $47.10 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
