Sutter Health EKG Technician, Noninvasive Cardiology in Oakland, California

Position Overview:
Performs 12 lead EKGs on adults and processes appropriate paperwork to complete test. Applies and removes 24-hour Holters. Performs Cardiac Stress Testing. Schedules all aspects of testing when appropriate. Performs transcription and billing as necessary.

EDUCATION
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
Associate's: College coursework in health sciences desirable.
Other: Prefer demonstrated formal education program in EKG.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
EKG-Technician
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
EXPERIENCE
Previous EKG or monitor experience in CCU preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated Knowledge of EKG procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of billing procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of typewriter/computer.
Types at least 40 wpm on electric typewriter or computer keyboard.
Knowledge of relevant clinical terminology.
Work effectively and positively with other employees.
Communicates effectively and clearly with patients and staff.

Pay Range is $34.11 to $40.33 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
