Sutter Health Manager, Nursing - eICU, Sacramento in Sacramento, California
The Nurse Manager manages and integrates the activities and resources of assigned patient care unit(s) consistent with the overall objectives and activities of Sutter Hospital.Additionally, the Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative direction to personnel and activities associated with providing quality-nursing care.The Nurse Manager combines skills of understanding, selecting, developing and motivating diverse groups of people to ensure effective and efficient unit operation.This position also coordinates prehospital activities and conducts run reviews and completes follow up.Is designated emergency preparedness coordinator for the hospital.
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or a related field, or a combination of education and experience required.
Master’s level preparation is an appropriate field is preferred.
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Basic Life Support Certification – BLSrequired.
Demonstrated clinical experience in the appropriate area of specialty required.
Proven experience at a leadership/management level required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Must demonstrate the knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals to meet patients’ needs.
Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, supervision, budget and human relations are required.
Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff in the special skills necessary to meet patient needs.
National certification appropriate to the area of specialty is preferred.
