Sutter Health Regulatory Privacy Analyst III in Sacramento, California

Position Overview:

Responsible for supporting the privacy program by performing privacy-related functions including activities related to the confidentiality, access, use, and disclosure of protected health information and other confidential information. Provides a wide range of support to the privacy team, including assisting with developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the privacy program in compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations and Sutter Health's privacy policies. Conducts privacy program reviews and assessments to evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations, and industry best practices. Supports and conducts privacy assessments of third-party vendors and internal projects. Functions as an advisor to Sutter Health business units on privacy risk related issues. Tracks privacy risks and corrective action plans. Develops and/or reviews privacy policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to support regulatory requirements, privacy best practices, and evolving regulations. Conducts privacy related research and analysis and translates the results into meaningful inputs to the privacy program. In conjunction with privacy leadership, responsible for privacy program strategy and governance.

Job Description :

The person hired for this role must come on site for meetings, etc. and be located in the Northern California Sutter Health Footprint.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Healthcare, Business, Legal, or related field

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

CHPC-Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance within 1 Year of hire

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

5 years of recent relevant experience.

Pay Range is $52.01 to $78.03 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
