Sutter Health Staff Psychologist I - Therapeutic Services (Full-time, Days) in Sacramento, California

Position Overview:

The Staff Psychologist provides mental health services to child, adolescent and adult inpatient and outpatient clients and their families. These services require autonomous decision making, assessment, treatment planning, interventions, discharge planning and inter/intra community resource coordination. The staff psychologist performs other duties as assigned, including consultation with other clinical staff and supervising practicum students, pre and post doctoral students.



A Psy.D or Ph.D. degree from an accredited university and current Psychologist license from the State of California are required.


Prior work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric treatment setting as a Psychologist or Psychological Assistant working with children, adolescents, adults and their families is preferred.


Thorough knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents and adults is required.

Must have knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association ethical standards.

Must have knowledge of the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, and psychotherapeutic modalities and interventions, including psychotropic medications.
