Sutter Health Financial Analyst III - Research Institute in San Francisco, California
This position is responsible for analyzing the financial performance of clinical research contracts for CPMC Research Institute. Provides financial and analytical support for industry, private foundation, federal and investigator-initiated contracts. Develops budgets, projections, and negotiates with sponsors while following federal, state and local policies. Proficiently utilizes Sutter Health finance software (Lawson) as well as internal systems to invoice, reconcile, and account for all revenue and expenses related to clinical research finance. Communicates with internal and external customers and works closely with RI clinical team to ensure billing compliance. Participates in specific projects as directed by Clinical Research Director, Grants Supervisor and Financial Director.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in preparing and performing financial feasibility reports and operational budget analysis in a healthcare setting required.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in performing clinical research.
Previous contracting experience is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and MS Word skills
Demonstrated ability for financial forecasting at the intermediate level.
Excellent knowledge of grants management practices.
Intermediate knowledge of accounting practices.
Lawson experience preferred.
