Sutter Health Psychiatric Social Worker I - Outpatient MH (Per Diem) in San Mateo, California
Join a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team of dedicated professionals at Mills Peninsula Medical Center. Seeking therapists to work in PHP/IOP programs (adult, adolescent, seniors and chemical dependency) in the Outpatient Behavioral Health department. Carry a caseload of patients for whom you will develop treatment plans and provide crisis intervention, case management, individual, group and family therapy. Group therapy occurs daily and includes process groups, educational groups and skills groups using DBT, CBT and other evidence based treatments. Conduct concurrent reviews with commercial payers.
This is a per diem position with requirement to cross train for all programs.
Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology.
Minimum of 1 year in the field of psychiatric services.
Licensure in the State of California (as LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist) is required within 2 years of hire date. If not licensed, registration as an associate is required.
BLS (AHA) required.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of and experience with use of community services.
Adolescent & adult mental health partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program experience preferred
