Sutter Health Physical Therapist- Santa Cruz (FT Limited Term) in Santa Cruz, California
The Physical Therapist , under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Supervisor, provides skilled therapy services to patients. The primary role is to evaluate and provide rehabilitation and instruction in therapy programs for mobility and exercise.
Performs patient evalutaions consisting of muscle, joint, sensory, neurological, perceptual, and functional testing.
Provides safe and accurate therapy services (according to agency policy and procedures), which may include but are not limited to muscle strengthening, stretching and range of motion, implementation of treatment modalities to include heat, cold, ultrasound, tens.
Comprehensively instructs patients and caregivers in equipment usage, home exericse and activity to promote mobility and independence.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, including Licensure, Certfication / Registration
Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy required
Current Physical Therapy licensure in the State of California required
Current AHA BLS/CPR certificate required
- One (1) year experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred
