Sutter Health RN PACU - Santa Cruz (Per Diem) in Santa Cruz, California
The PACU RN is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing and providing nursing care/services in the PACU department. Serves as patient advocate.
Plans and provides patient care based on observations, patient’s needs and diagnosis, test results, physician orders and other pertinent information.
Evaluates patient’s response to care. Modifies and revises plan as necessary.
Collaborates with physicians to provide needed treatment and medication. This includes evaluation of the pre-op patient, pre-op teaching and administration of medications and IV fluids, pre-op shaves, as well as, evaluation of the post-op patient and administration of medications, IV fluids.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, including Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
Current CA RN License required
Current BLS for Healthcare providers (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Two years recent RN experience in an acute care hospital required
2 years recent PACU experience preferred
